The female Leopard Tortoise is distinguished by the subtle shape beneath its shell, a natural adaptation carried with quiet strength across years of movement and survival. Its patterned shell, shaped by nature and time, has long made it one of Africa’s most recognisable tortoises.

Created by Patrick Mavros and handcrafted in our Studio in Zimbabwe, this sterling silver sculpture begins as a hand-sculpted model where every contour and marking is carefully defined. In the furnace, molten silver is poured using the traditional lost wax casting method before the piece is hand-finished and polished to reveal the detail within the form.

A timeless sculpture created to bring the presence of the African bush into the home and collection.
