To create opportunities for the people of African Descent in Ontario and Alberta, to fully participate by establishing physical spaces, fostering nurturing environments, advocating for gender equality, improving employment opportunities, enhancing settlement experiences, and addressing health and well-being, income, and housing stability for those experiencing poverty and homelessness.

Our History

Established in February 2024, Asante Canada Inc. is a not-for-profit organization servicing Ontario and Alberta. It aids marginalized immigrant communities from Africa in Canada, prioritizing support for Black Women, Seniors, Newcomers, Youth, low-income individuals, and vulnerable populations in urban areas. It also addresses the distinct needs of individuals in remote or rural regions.

Our Values

 

The following values guide Asante Canada Inc activities and services

1. Integrity - Upholding honesty and ethical standards in all actions and decisions, ensuring transparency and trustworthiness within the organization and the community.

2. Accountability - Taking responsibility for actions and outcomes, honoring commitments, and delivering on promises to stakeholders and the community.

3. Inclusivity-Embracing diversity and creating an environment where everyone feels valued, respected, and included, regardless of background or identity.

  • Newcomer      Support, Mentorship and Job Search
  • Information      to Help Newcomers Integrate Quickly into Canadian Society
  • Seniors’      Support and Seniors’ Affordable Residence and Apartments 
  • Language      Assessment and Interpretation 
  • Health      Research on social determinants of health within the people of African      descent and Health/well-being education
  • Promote      and engage in financial literacy as a method of reducing poverty in the      people of African descent communities
