At our Mauritian Atelier, we look to vibrant life under the sea for inspiration. The Staghorn Coral and Hawksbill Turtle Candelabra bring the alluring Indian Ocean to the homestead through graceful and fluid movements captured in this spectacular sterling silver tableau.

Each handcrafted piece tells a vivid story from this tropical paradise, bringing to light the tale of these magical species.

All of the turtle sculptures are detailed with great attention; the beautiful eyes of these turtles are represented with perfectly set peridots. Mature, juvenile and baby turtles are active in their coral reef environment, swimming amongst staghorn coral.

In one scene, there are two charming babies stacked on top of each other, and in another scene, a female shows barnacle growth on her carapace. She is interacting with a young male who is scratching his neck on a coral tree.

The centrepiece shows a mature female turtle swimming low down, actively feeding, with remora fish that feed off parasites on her carapace, portraying this important symbiotic relationship in the wild.

A male is depicted with a scar on his back, an injury sustained from being hit by a boat, bringing awareness to the plight of this endangered and treasured sea creature.

The final scene shows a mature female in her prime gliding effortlessly amongst live Staghorn Coral branches holding the candlesticks that flicker light onto this incredible setting.

This candelabra set is modular in design, allowing for custom compositions and turtle groupings to be created and collected over time.

Each Staghorn Coral candelabra can be effortlessly removed from the bronze base for cleaning. Hand engraved sterling silver oval plates are set under each bronze base with title and date.
