This is the highest pharmaceutical and food grade Sodium Citrate, a naturally derived (bio-based) ingredient widely accepted in "clean label" products because its origin is natural, ie: this product is not petroleum-based. 

This Sodium Citrate has the following uses:  

• Muscle Fatigue (Athletic Performance): In athletic contexts, sodium citrate acts as an ergogenic aid, delaying muscle fatigue and reducing lactate accumulation during high-intensity, weight-bearing exercise.

• Antacid: Neutralises gastric hydrochloric acid, providing a rapidly effective remedy for heartburn, chronic nausea, bloating and abdominal pains. Useful to prevent stomach lining or peptic ulcers. 

• Kidney Stones: It is used to prevent the formation of uric acid and calcium oxalate kidney stones by reducing the acidity of the urine.

• Gout: By reducing uric acid levels in the urine (and increasing urine pH), it helps prevent gout attacks and the accumulation of uric acid crystals.

• Alkalinising Agent: Increases blood and urine pH to manage metabolic acidosis or reduce acid levels.

Contraindications: It should be used with caution, particularly in people with severe kidney failure, high blood pressure, heart damage, or those on a sodium-restricted diet.

Doses: Each 1 gram (1000mg) of Sodium Citrate contains 235mg of Sodium. 
So to get 1000mg of Sodium (1g) you'd need to add 4.3g to your Electrolytes mixture. 

We highly recommend you either get a 5ml scoop, or a small set of measuring spoons with this product, so that you can dose in a repeatable way throughout the day.
