The following is a short history of the Bird Family of Milford, Massachusetts. This project began in the summer of 2011 shortly after the death of my father Michael. My aunt Claudia Gardner informed me that a family history; prepared for her by Mrs. Rosemary Elia; had been in my fatherÕs possession. After an extensive search, an old insurance envelope containing four handwritten pages was discovered. With the names and dates of various ancestors thus supplied I was able to access records on the internet and at the Town Hall of Milford. I also spent hours wandering St. MaryÕs Cemetery of Milford searching for grave sites. While most of this history will focus on the Birds I was also able to find some information on the Taylor Family. However, outside of one fascinating but tragic exception, the Taylor records are fairly limited.
