It uses standard 3 4" NPT threads making it easily adaptable to common pipe fittings. These are the same fittings found on our diff covers. The outside of the plug measures just over 1 1 4", a 1 3 8" hole is perfect for fitting in and having a solid weld. The hex wrench needed for the plug is 9 16".
