Frankfurt School: Agents of Imperialism is a compilation of articles from the review Literature & Ideology which expose the anti-people and imperialist thinkers of the so-called Frankfurt School, including Herbert Marcuse, Erich Fromm, Walter Benjamin, and others. These "thinkers" did everything in their power to obscure the class struggle, and U.S. imperialism and Soviet social-imperialism, serving as an intellectual agency of the two superpowers in their ideological collusion and contencion to divide spheres of influence throughout the world. In particular, their primacy of culture and ideas led to an imperialist conception of liberation. Liberation was no longer to be the elimination of exploitation of man by man and national oppression, meaning the abolition of classes through class struggle, but the unleashing of pre-civilizational instincts, which Marcuse for example believed were being repressed in modern society. That is, they opposed technology and the development of the productive forces, not anachronistic relations of production. This theory called for the acceptance of the established order and even the repression of opposition. This fascist-type logic could never enrich the intellectual level of the masses but only diminish it. The heroes of the Frankfurt School opposed change and revolution, believed in the absolute necessity of Western education to be "important" and neglected the experience of the working masses, specifically from Asia, Africa and Latin America. The ideology of this line of thinking can be summed up in one term: anti-communism.
