Care
General Maintenance: Remove flowers/stems when done blooming to encourage new growth. Repot entirely when the plant has become rootbound. Yearly, change out some of the soil to ensure the plant has fresh nutrients.Temperature: Warm temperatures that average 20°C-25ºC and no lower than 18ºC. Avoid putting near drafty windows in winter.
Light: Bright indirect sunlight is advised. Too much direct sun (over 16 hours) will cause sunburn. Too little light can cause the flowers not to bloom.
Watering: Keep this plant lightly moist. Water from the bottom with room temperature water as they are susceptible to root rot. Do not get water on their leaves.
Fertilizer: Fertilize every two weeks with high phosphorus plant food during spring and summer. Sensitive to over-fertilizing.
Soil: Since they are prone to root rot, they will do well with a well-draining soil.
