College returns with it's third full length album, a rich, glowing and nostalgic synth-based offering reminiscent of previous works heard in 'A Real Hero' (Drive Soundtrack), but at the same time exploring a unique and conceptual world, 'Shanghai', giving College's textural and atmospherical works a brand new dimension.College is David Grellier; a French electronic music composer, born in 1979 in Nantes. In the late 90s he acquired his first computer with which he produced several demos influenced by artists such as Jeff Mills and Aphex Twin, and labels such as Soma Records, Peacefrog and Warp. In 2007 he started Valerie; a blog that has evolved to become a record label and an expanding cultural network of international artists. 2011 saw Nicolas Winding Refn chose 'A Real Hero' by College feat. Electric Youth as the theme song for his acclaimed and award-winning film Drive, propelling College into mainstream consciousness and securing him support across publications such as Pitchfork, Consequence of Sound and The Line of Best Fit.Shanghai is an album inspired by the city itself - it's culture and architecture; how it is a melting pot of many things. Musically he draws on 90's sounds and the work from artists including Mark Snow, Angelo Badalamenti, Joe Hisaishi and Aphex Twin.

Grad School Purchase
Format: Hardcover
Got here so quickly! I had no problems whatsoever with the book, the book cover was just a little wrinkled, but I'm sure that's just from traveling. The book on the inside, the pages are clean and crisp. I will happily recommend them to other buyers! Thank you!!

Format: Hardcover
The information in this book changed my opinion of career counseling as a foundation for mental health counseling from a holistic approach. Assessments in this book and the accompanying Using Assessment Results for Career Development book are invaluable together.

I love the aspects of career counseling. But this book makes the theories hard to understand.

High energy mindset book, but very repetitive
Format: Hardcover
The 10X Rule is a very high energy, motivational book focused on taking massive action and setting goals much higher than what most people think is realistic. The strongest part is the mindset shift. It constantly pushes the idea that success requires way more effort, persistence, and volume than people typically expect. If you are looking for motivation to work harder and avoid playing it safe, the message definitely hits. It also does a good job challenging excuses and comfort zones. The tone is very direct and intense, which can be useful if you respond well to that style of motivation. However, the book is very repetitive. The same core idea of “10X effort” is repeated throughout almost every section in slightly different ways, which can make it feel stretched out. It is more motivational than practical, so if you are looking for step-by-step systems or structured strategies, this may not be what you are expecting. Overall, it’s a strong mindset book if you want intensity and motivation, but less useful if you are looking for detailed execution plans.
