About the BookThe present book Introduction to Electromagnetic Theory is written under the CBCS pattern, followed all Indian Universities guided UGC. This book is the result of great attempts the authors to bring a balance between the mathematical framework and the conceptual development from the theoretical point of view. This text book will help the undergraduate students to build a solid conceptual base in the field of classical electrodynamics, which will help them to explore the beauty of man's thought process in this particular branch of physics. The ideas will help the engineering students to apply the different laws of this branch in different applications. The book is started with a brief introduction about the EM theory. In the first chapter, authors briefly discussed different mathematical tools and their relations with the many physical concepts used in the rest of the book. This first chapter is very important for the journey to the rest of the book. The second chapter starts with the Gauss’ law for electric fields, magnetic fields and then the Faradays law and Ampere's law in non-stationary states. The authors then discussed how Maxwell explored the incompleteness of the Ampere's circuital law and then make it modified to relate it with different electromagnetic phenomena occurred in nature. In this chapter, Maxwell's equations expressed both in the integral and differential forms are presented using different mathematical tools which were already discussed in the first chapter . In the third chapter, authors focused their discussions to the different laws of conservations which are obeyed the EM waves during its propagation in a medium. Fourth and fifth chapters are dedicated on the propagation of EM waves in unbounded and bounded media respectively. In chapters six and seven they presented the different EM phenomena observed in nature due to the anisotropy behavior of a medium. The content of the last two chapters are related to the brief introduction to two well established applications of EM theory, namely optical waveguide and fiber optics. Authors appreciate any kind of feedback from the students as well as from the experts of any discipline, whatsoever, about the book. About the AuthorsDr. Subhendu Panda is currently acting as Assistant Professor of Physics in CNCB Academy of Science and Technology, a Research based Self-financed degree Science College located at Jagatsingpur in Odisha, affiliated to Utkal University. Dr. Panda obtained his B.Sc. from Calcutta University and M.Sc. from Visva Bharati University, Santiniketan. He completed his Ph.D. work in Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics, Kolkata and awarded from Calcutta University. His area of research is Non-Linear Dynamics. During the Ph.D. he studied dynamics of non-linear lattices based on different prototype non-linear lattice models under the supervision of Prof. Tarun Roy and Prof. Avijit Lahiri. His post-doctoral research works are related to the continuation of his earlier works. All his research papers have been published in different reputed international journals like American Physical Society, Elsevier, World Scientific etc. He also co-authored some popular level newspaper articles on diversified science topics in some leading Indian dailies in recent times. He is an experienced teacher, teaching physics at the B.Sc. (Hons.) level over last 10 years.Dr. Priyadarshi Majumdar completed his Masters in Physics (Specialization in Electronics) and awarded Ph.D. in Physics (Nonlinear Dynamics) from the University of Calcutta. As Post-Doctoral Scientist he published about 40 International research papers. His other major research works are diversified in the fields of Condensed Matter Physics, Quantum Entanglement, Quantum Game Theory, Classical Gravity, Computational Biology, Bio-Statistics, Experimental Polymer Physics & Polymer Chemistry, Simulation & Modeling. His major research papers are published American Physical Society, American Institute of Physics, World Scientific, Elsevier, IOP, Springer, Chinese Chemical Society, World Academic Press, ICTP Publications, Institute of Theoretical Physics (India) and Calcutta Mathematical Society. His important research works were headlined News Rx, Medical News Article on Theoretical Biology and Vertical News, Physics Week, Information Technology Week. Dr. Majumdar is also an Academic Writer & Freelance Journalist and published about 65 popular level articles on different motivational topics in leading Indian English, Hindi, Bengali daily’s. He published 7 ISBN books so far on Electronics and other fields. Presently he is working as Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Electronic Science at Barrackpore Rastraguru Surendranath College, Kolkata and Member of UG Board of Studies of Electronics of West Bengal State University, West Bengal. More CBCS ISBN text (theory & practical) books as well as some non-text books on Electronics are in press and expected to be published very soon. Apart from his academic activities he is a poet of rhythm and a leading balancing artist of the world.Shipping Notes

Way too narrow
Size: 9.5 Wide, Color: Burgundy Polished Full Grain
I ordered a wide in this shoe, but it was still way too narrow. I had to return them. Otherwise, it looked like a nice quality shoe.

I usually wear 11.5's, but I buy 1/2 size smaller to accommodate for stretch. Leather relaxes.
Size: 11, Color: Burgundy Polished Full Grain
5 STARS: These shoes are awesome. I keep coming back for more. I have major foot problems, have tried all kinds of shoes, orthotics, and inserts... but believe it or not, these shoes work better than any of that stuff. I wear them daily. I buy lots of them, for home, for church, and I'm getting my first pair of J&M boots today, for winters in Indiana... Brrrr

Great price great shoe
Size: 12, Color: Burgundy Polished Full Grain
Excellent shoe. Tried the Sebago penny loafer and the sizing was ridiculous. These J and M are sized perfectly. I’ve had them before and they wear like iron. Very comfortable right out of the box.

Quality shoe but with a slight squeak.
Size: 10 Wide, Color: Burgundy Polished Full Grain
Nice shoes with the classic Penny Loafer design. Fit was better than another brand I tried. Only reason not 5 starts is disappointment due to a slight squeak at times when walking.
