To make matters even more intriguing, there is a note within the original printing at the British Library (shelfmark 8632.aa.5) that reads, ÒThis book was stolen in July 1972 and subsequently recovered by the police.Ó Regardless of this grimoireÕs pedigree, within these pages the hierarchy of spirits to be summoned can be found, their sigils and powers, along with instruction on the prayers and rituals required for their summoning. The original manuscript is written in a combination of French and Latin; here, both languages are translated to English by Anya W. Vossand.
