"This volume brings together an invaluable collection of vivid eyewitness accounts of the Minnesota Indian War of 1862 and its aftermath. Of greatest interest is the fact that all the narratives assembled here come from Dakota mixed-bloods and full-bloods. Speaking from a variety of viewpoints and enmeshed in complex webs of allegiances to Indian, white, and mixed-blood kin, these witnesses testify not only to the terrible casualties they all suffered, but also to the ways in which the events of 1862 tore at the social, cultural, and psychic fabrics of their familial and community lives. This rich contribution to Minnesota and Dakota history is enhanced by careful editing and annotation."--Jennifer S. H. Brown, University of WinnipegPraise for Through Dakota Eyes:
"For anyone interested in Minnesota history, Native-American history, and Civil War history in this forgotten theater of operations. Through Dakota Eyes is an absolute must read. . . . an extremely well-balanced and fascinating book that will take it's place at the forefront of Indian Historiography."--Civil War News
"An important look at how the political dynamic of Minnesota's southern Dakota tribes erupted into a brief, futile blood bath. It is also a vital record of the death song of the Dakota's traditional, nomadic way of life."--Minnesota Daily
"An appreciation for the diversity and complexity of Dakota culture and politics emerges from Through Dakota Eyes. . . . captures some of the human drama, tragedy, and confusion which must have surely characterized all American frontier wars."--American Indian Quarterly

Ideal preschool bag for your princess
Color: Flower Pink, Style: Toddler-12"h(not Fit Folder), Color: Flower Pink, Style: Toddler-12"h(not Fit Folder)
I couldn’t be happier with this toddler backpack! The Mibasies Toddler Backpack for Girls is the perfect size for my little one—lightweight, comfortable, and just right for preschool. The straps are soft and adjustable, so it fits securely without slipping off her shoulders. The design is absolutely adorable and makes her excited to carry it every day.
The compartments are well thought out: roomy enough for snacks, a water bottle, and her favorite toy, yet not too bulky for a toddler to manage. The quality feels durable and sturdy, which gives me peace of mind that it will last through daily use.
What I love most is how it balances style, practicality, and comfort. My daughter beams with pride wearing it, and I’ve already received compliments from other parents. If you’re looking for a preschool backpack that’s both functional and fun, this one is a winner. Highly recommend!

Durable materials
Color: Strawberry Checkerboard, Style: Toddler-12"h(not Fit Folder), Color: Strawberry Checkerboard, Style: Toddler-12"h(not Fit Folder)
My oldest daughter used her bag for first grade, and then again starting for second grade. It has shown great quality, all zippers are still in great shape, has all the pockets for folders and small things, still big enough to pack a pair of shoes and clothes in it, and it’s super easy to keep clean. I feel like this was the best value for my money, and then some. I got one for my youngest who just started pre-k. Also, all of the prints are vibrant and fun, and the sizes are perfect for each of them 🤩

Love the pattern
Color: Flower Pink, Style: Toddler-12"h(not Fit Folder)
Love this backpack for my toddler. She feels like her big sister. She loves to carry her own water bottle and diapers in it. It fits her comfortably especially with the adjustable straps. The color is bright and beautiful. The backpack itself is easy for my toddler to open and close. Definitely perfect for a little girl
