They had no fixed itinerary and only one irrevocable objective: to visit the grave of a brother in an American military cemetery near Rome. On a limited budget and with no fixed itinerary, they traveled by rail for a month through parts of France, Italy, Germany and England. They struggled with local customs and met both friendly and not so friendly people. They visited places they had longed to see and sometimes wandered into places they didnÕt want to see. Illustrated with some 200 photo-graphs, this is their frequently funny, sometimes absurd, and often thought provoking tale of that trip.
