Signed by the artist, this exceptional and comprehensive monograph, edited by Nicola Del Roscio, is devoted to five decades of Twombly’s photography. It features a section of portraits—including subjects John Cage, Franz Kline, Robert Rauschenberg, Del Roscio, Betty di Robilant, Del Roscio, and Alessandro Twombly—as well as an essay by Vincent Katz that considers Twombly’s photographs in relation to photographic pictorialism, developing the medium’s untapped potentials in relation to both abstraction and antiquity.
