Indigo is a deep purple-blue  colour at cone 05 and darkens under a clear glaze. When fired to cone 5, it becomes more blue in color and then darkens slightly at cone 10.

Amaco Velvet Underglazes an be easily applied to wet clay, greenware, or mature Cone 04 bisque (1077C).

Try two finish possibilities: When left unglazed these colours have the rich textural appearance of velvet; when covered with AMACO Clear Transparent Matte or Clear Gloss they intensify in colour.
