Philosophy:
Why peanut butter whiskey? For co-founder Steve, peanut butter was a fascinating, new flavour after immigrating as a refugee from Cambodia. His curiosity led him to create a bestselling peanut butter whiskey cocktail at his bar, a beloved local spot known for both its creative fare and its vibrant, eclectic crowd. Teaming up with his wife Brittany, a lawyer and chemist, they set out to develop a standalone spirit that not only tasted great on its own but also worked well in cocktails. The result? Skrewball—a tribute to different backgrounds, unique flavours, and the unexpected qualities that bring us all together. Here’s to the Skrewballs!

Nose - Rich Peanut Butter, Buttery Pastry, Bourbon Lift
Dense, rich peanut butter notes, bolstered by whiffs of buttery pastry, a classic American whiskey note.

Palate - Peanut Butter Pie, Whiskey, Barrel Spices
The flavour lives up to the aromatic promise, nutty but with hints of vanilla, orange peel, dried fruits and a boozy lift.

Finish - Smooth, Cedar, Cinnamon
Smooth, savour sweet, like peanut butter pie and soaked in whiskey. 

The nose offered dense, rich peanut butter notes, not some questionable simulation of the stuff, which is all too often the case with flavoured spirits. (I’m looking at you, Fireball and Crown Royal Salted Caramel.)  Bolstered by whiffs of buttery pastry, a classic American whiskey note, it evokes warm peanut butter pie. The flavour lives up to the aromatic promise, but with a boozy lift—take that peanut butter pie and soak it in whiskey. I started imagining ways to use it: mixing it with jammy cassis.
