The Fresh Foam X 1080v13 adds a touch of responsiveness that makes the shoe a bit more suited for faster paces than it was in the past. Thankfully, this has not sacrificed any softness that fans of previous models of the 1080 have come to love. In fact, the v13 features a stack height that is actually 4 mm higher than the v12.

An increased rocker-shaped midsole keeps the ride smooth on every stride. A new engineered mesh upper replaces the sock-like knit upper of the last few versions of the shoe. The new mesh still has some stretchiness to accommodate runners with wide feet, while lending a plusher step-in feel and a more secure lockdown.
