Historian Alexandra Minna Stern excavates the alt-right memes that have erupted online and digs to the root of the far right’s motivations: their deep-seated fear of an oncoming “white genocide” that can only be remedied through aggressive action to reclaim white power. The alt-right has expanded significantly throughout America’s cultural, political, and digital landscapes: racist, sexist, and homophobic beliefs that were previously unspeakable have become commonplace, normalized, and accepted—endangering American democracy and society as a whole. When asked to address the Proud Boys and growing far right violence, President Trump directed the group to “stand back and stand by;” and just two weeks before President Joe Biden’s inauguration, a white supremacist mob breached the US Capitol—earning praise from the Proud Boys leader amongst threats of future violence. In order to dismantle the destructive movement that has invaded our public consciousness and threatens American democracy, we must first understand the core beliefs that drive the alt-right.
Through careful analysis, Stern brings awareness to the underlying concepts that guide the alt-right and its overlapping forms of racism, xenophobia, and transphobia. She explains the key ideas of “red-pilling,” strategic trolling, gender essentialism, and the alt-right’s ultimate fantasy: a future where minorities have been “cleansed” from the body politic and a white ethnostate is established in the United States. Owned for 6 years and still going strong. Worn daily, including showers. The only time I take it off is to sleep. The face is scratched up and some buttons worn smooth (I wear it on the inside of my wrist). A few tiny cracks are beginning to form on one of the wristband pieces. Replaced the battery after about 3 years. It has three alarms and I use them regularly. You can choose to set each alarm for daily, weekdays, or weekends. I also use the timer a lot. Indiglo gets used every morning and many evenings. You can disable modes that you never use, so you only see what you want. I never use chronograph, so I have that disabled. Incredible watch.

The watch of our era

Bought this ‘used’ but looks like only the box had some ‘damage’ but the watch was perfectly brand new. I’ve been wearing a timex Ironman watch since my tenth birthday. I’ve served in the Marine corps and wore one while on tour. I’ve worn them snorkeling and diving. I’m a mechanic and have worn it on my belt loop while working, and depending what I’m doing I’ll leave it on. I wear it in the shower, the pool, beach, kayaking, skydiving, mudding, surfing, fishing, shooting, and while relaxing in my recliner. I’ve only had one battery die, and it was easily replaced.
This is the watch of our era. Stop reading this review and buy one!

Proud of my watch.

I purchased two of these and I am pleased so far.I was able to resize the band without any problems.They look good and I’ve received a few unsolicited compliments.IMHO they are well worth the 35 bucks or so I spent on them.Heck two of my buddies wearing r.l.x’s noticed them right off the bat.I just smiled and said thank you very much.
P.s.I could buy and sell my two friends many times over so didn’t bother me when they ask me the price.Proud of the good watch for the money.
